Meditation helps

Meditation helps a lot in calming the mind and reducing negative emotions. Meditation is not a rocket science. There are numerous ways to meditate.

I think guided meditation is helpful for the beginers. You can download a guided meditation from here:

It is worth a try...

There are wonderful short (3-5min) short online meditations here:

All about you

I've read that most of our relationship problems stem from our self
image.

Look at you in the mirror and try saying 'I love you'. Many people feel
uncomfortable

If you don't feel comfortable loving you, who else will? You can't
blame others for not loving you, if you yourself don't.

Start writing a list of good things about you - even every tiny bit
like:

I have beautiful nails

I help strangers when they are in need

I have a good taste for colours

Of course, you'll have lots of other likeable qualities....

It might look silly... but do it and see the result for yourself...

Remember that every one of us is so unique... we are irreplaceable... I
loved this poem of Osho:

YOU ARE NEEDED:

You are not accidental.
Existence needs you.
Without you something
will be missing in existence
and nobody can replace it.

That's what gives you dignity,
that the whole existence will miss you.
The stars and sun and moon, the trees
and birds and earth - everything in the universe
will feel a small place is vacant
which cannot be filled by anybody except you.

This gives you a tremendous joy,
a fulfillment that you are related to existence,
and existence cares for you.
Once you are clean and clear,
you can see tremendous love
falling on you from all dimensions. ~Osho

Keep Smiling

I once attended Swami Sugabodhanandha's workshop. He asked us 'why we associate happiness with something that we do not have'. The question stuck me...

Why don't we just decide to be happy no matter what? What stops us?

I know it is easier said than done because we are conditioned that way
all through our life ...

But when you are unhappy, just try this: stop for a moment. Take a deep breath in. Chin up, shoulders straight....make a broad smile... try saying 'I am feeling sad'.... you'll end up laughing.

It is impossible to be sad when you smile. So keep smiling :-)
